What is Rooted?

Rooted isn’t simply a bible study or a book. It is a 10-week discipleship program and a catalyst for life-change. It is a community experience, where people practice 7 rhythms essential to a healthy relationship with Jesus. Individuals establish firm roots in the Truth of God’s Word through personal study and then come together to discuss what they’re learning in a space where they are safe and known.

Who is Rooted for?

Rooted is for anyone and everyone, whether a seasoned believer or a brand new believer. This class will help you grow in your relationship with the Lord no matter where you are in your walk.

When is Rooted?

Our next Rooted class will begin late Summer/early Fall, start date to be determined.

If you are interested in hosting a 10 week Rooted Group in your home, we’d like to speak with you about how we can assist you in that objective. Please contact Mike Rogers at [email protected].

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register and what does it cost?

Registration is easy! Once registration is open for the upcoming session, click on the button above and follow the steps. The course is $30 per person, which includes all Rooted sessions, your workbook, and other materials.

Will there be a Zoom or video chat option?

Zoom will be available if enough people inquire about wanting to meet over video chat. However, groups will not be made as "hybrids". Each group will be 100% digital or in-person.

Where will my Rooted group meet?

Most Rooted groups will meet on campus at church, particularly if the group is in need of childcare. Some groups (if they desire) will meet at the facilitator's home.

What if I can't make it to Week One?

If you miss the first week, your leader will be in contact with you and you can still join your group. For the best Rooted experience, we recommend not missing more than two weeks. If your schedule requires you to miss more than two, feel free to jump in when the next Rooted session starts.

Are there scholarships available?

We believe that Rooted is a life-changing experience and we want everyone to participate! We understand that the Rooted registration fee may be a burden for some, and we are happy to provide scholarships. Let us know if you need a scholarship when filling out your registration.

Is childcare available?

Yes, we would love for parents to join us so, Childcare may be available for additional fees, depending on the needs and ages of the children and availability of Refuge Children's Ministry Qualified Staff. Please check with Michael Rogers and we will try to accommodate if possible, [email protected]

What if I can't make all 10 weeks?

We understand that Rooted involves a large time commitment, but we believe it is worth it to invest in the entire process. If you know you are going to miss more than 2 meetings, we ask that you wait until the next session of Rooted. The 10 weeks are a cumulative expereince, and so we ask that every participant commit to honor each other with being at every meeting.

How will my Rooted group be chosen?

A substantial amount of prayer and thoughfulness goes into creating groups that we think will provide the best experience for all people who attend. These groups ultimately depend upon the demographics of those who register. While we do our best to honor requests when possible, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all friend or leader requests.

What is the difference between Rooted and Connect Groups?

Rooted is the on-ramp to Connect Groups. At the end of Rooted, your group becomes your connect group. Because of that, we strongly encourage everyone to go through Rooted before joining a connect group.

I'm a little nervous. Should I really sign up?

Absolutely! Be brave and jump in! Rooted will change your life!
